Last week I went to my OBGYN.. Im 32 weeks pregnant...
He told me to begin checking my fluids, that if it smells of bleach or like a strong chemical smell, to call them right away...
This last week, I havent been "leaking" anything, I do feel wet at times, and I smell it. Its not a bad smell, but it does smell a bit like a chemical.
Im going in tomorrow to get checked.
Has anyone experienced this? Does this mean my water broke? Or what?

Its probably just some discharge I think when you do leak fluid you can kinda tell that's what it is

It's more than likely just some urine. The ob is right, a stronger smell, not ammonia but bleachy or just chemical, would be amniotic fluid. Don't worry though, I began leaking amniotic fluid at about 20 weeks w/ my first pregnancy and all that happened was that my water never broke. I still went into labor and everything was fine. Your body replenishes amniotic fluid constantly.
On the other hand, losing some urine at 32 weeks is perfectly normal as the baby is usually just a bit heavier and pressing on the bladder. The sign that it's urine is that you wet yourself more strongly when exerting yourself (coughing, picking up something heavy, sneezing, etc.) and that it's not strong smelling at all.
I would mention it to the ob when you see him but I wouldn't worry. As my daughter-in-law-new-mom-to-be said today when I reassured her on the same question said: If it ain't red I won't worry.
Congrats on your pregnancy! =)

When my water broke, I thought I had peed my pants. It didn't smell like urine. It smelled sweet and metallic at the same time. I believe what they have you checking for is a sign of infection in the fluids. My leak went on for 5 weeks before my son was born. (I was on hospital bedrest.)

Nah... When your water really breaks it feels like you're peeing in your pants and you can't stop it. You might have a little leak and it's good that you're getting this checked as infection can set in once the amniotic sac is compromised.

No your water has not broke. When it breaks it a gush of fluid. Trust me you will know. Sometimes you can leak a little when you are as far along as you are. Don't worry i bet everything if fine. Just bring it up to your doc tomorrow to ease your worrying.

You usually have increased wetness towards the end. Even urine leakage from the baby pressing on your bladder...as I am sure you can feel. When your water breaks, you have a lot of warm fluid coming out. When I had my water broken it didn't smell.

Well remember having Discharge with your period??
Well when we are pregnant we have more of that and it can be thick/ thin/ clear/ white/ tinged............and smells a little differnt.
Just keep your appt tomorrow.............................If your water broke your either ganna feel a slow trickle of fluids constnantly or more of a gush and gush and gush of fluids.......
Keep a panty liner or pad on if ever in doubt call your doctor!!

I DON'T THINK IS YOUR AMNIOTIC FLUID BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A NON STOPING FLUID, MIGHT BE JUST SOME VAGINAL DISCHARGE
