Send me £100 immediately and we'll forget all about the stamp! OK?

You don't say which country you are originally from or what it said on your visa stamp. Some countries only stamp on the way in. If you are a EU citizen you will not get any stamps on your passport. I've had mine for ages and travel constantly and only have US stamps on mine.

The UK no longer does embarkation stamps. Sometimes for security reasons, immigration will run an embarkation control where immigration staff check the passports of people leaving the country. But the standard embarkation control ceased in about 1997 or thereabouts, and in the process the embarkation stamps were withdrawn. If you're desperate to prove that you embarked then keep hold of your boarding card stub!

I wouldn't worry, the entry stamp is just to prove when you arrived. I got one in New Zealand but did not get a departure stamp for leaving. If you have left then there is no problem.

You do nothing! You never get an exit stamp on UK airports, regardless of your origin.
