science fiction rarely gets nominated for any important awards, no matter how excellent the program may be. the x-files is the only one that comes to mind...and if you watched the award shows, you would see why. the actors actually look embarassed when clips are played. i recall the look on sigourney weaver's face when she was nominated for best actress for 'aliens', and the amused sounds from her fellow actors. the same for gillian anderson. so perhaps they're all just as happy to not be nominated.
