i just upgraded this pc from 64mb to 512. when crucial did the scan they said the max was 384. my system is reading 512 with no problems and very fast for what it is. how does crucial figure this, and they showed my dimm slots as empty. i've had them do the same thing on other systems. is there another site that will scan?

crucial.com's scanner is not perfect. If your system is running fine, and is recognizing all the memory fine... run with it.

If your video card shares memory, then probably the 128mb is shared by it, if not, download "Everest" or "CpuZ" for inspection.
