Caucasian comes from the Caucaus region and speaks a caucausian lanaguage white americans are mainly anglo-saxons from british/ english/ heritage and then those who are not anglos like french/polish/irish/dutch origin people

these are caucasian-Peoples of Caucasus that speak languages that belong to the Caucasian language family are divided into two groups - North Caucasian and South Caucasian.

you have all these types of terms but the U.S cant pick one or the right one and stick to it.
European American, White American, and Anglo American

not all whites are anglos and not all whites are caucasians

What you have failed to realize is that the earliest evidence of racially 'Caucasian' people occurs in the Caucasus mountains region. When humans began to migrate out of Africa they settled in many areas.

Now when older evidence of racially Caucasian people is found elsewhere then we'll probably have to be renamed.

That's great, I just call myself white, and check the Caucasian box because I'm not of Spanish Decent, or African American. I am German and French if you want to get down to where my family came from.

what others said about that's the most appropriate choice on the forms when we are forced to choose. fwiw, there aren't as many American Whites from the British Isles now as there were 250 years ago.

Good question, you have me thinking now, where did you get your info from? I'd like to research that because I'd like to know what an italian-scottish person would be.Actually I'd be a 'european anglo'?
