i have a ford explorer 99 how big of a rim can i put on and what size tires will i need. also what if any modifications. and if possible prices... thanks guys... and girls

I live in the middle of no where, there isnt a custom rim place any where for miles and miles so i cant just go and ask them

Ok, with something large like a ford explorer, you can pretty much make the sky the limit. 20 inch rims on up. As for tires, you need a tire that is the same size as the rim. For 20 inch rims, you need a x-x-20, for a 22 you need an x-x-21, etc.

You should know that it is best to have tires that are fatter, when measuring from the rim to the tread. The more space for air you have, the safer, and less of a chance of blowout you will have.

The sky is the limit, as long as the rims don't rub up against the wheel well with a tire on them. Most wheel shops can help you when choosing.

However you decide, try to keep the tire circumference the same as the orginal to keep the brakes and the speedometer the same.

Maybe 22" with 40's or 35's

Did it occur to you to go to a tire shop before asking dumb questions. You can put monster truck tires under it if you lift it. What kind of a dumbass question is that.
