It's got it's strong and weak points. The "evil" action voting mechanism is a great check on whoever is in the lead. Best with 4 players.
There's a pretty solid review of the game up at Board Game Geek:

RE:
Has anybody played a board game called Shadowlord from Parker Brothers 1983?
If so, what is your opinion? I just bought it for 50 cents to add to my collection and it looks very interesting.

Still have my 1983 version. It's a fun game even when compared with some of the better stuff being released these days. It was also pretty deep for its time, and a bold move by Parker Brothers.
Have fun with it!

Haha, yeah! My family loves Scrabble, and we also like Monopoly a lot, since we just got a new set. Also, we play Apples to Apples, which isn't really a board game, but...it's not a Playstation game and we're all together, so I think it counts. Actually, we play a lot of cards; you know, speed, spoons (a LOT of spoons), egyptian ratscrew, tens and twos, war, kings corner, euchre...stuff like that.
