I want to become a kindergarten teacher, but the school I want to transfer to (SF State) only offers child development for a bachelor's. Will I need to get a masters in childhood education as well in order to be a kindergarten teacher, or will the ba in child dev. be enough?

You need the degree in education. Unless you go alternate route...but...for Kindergarten, most districts don't want to do all the paperwork. Besides, you will learn all kinds of cool things in the education classes that you can use in your classroom!

Sure, meet with your College of Education advisors to assist in developing your program. I take it you're in California...There are great child development programs there . Some of the classes will be called ed/psych. I believe. Good Luck..We need more teachers.....

Rather than leave this to answers from a site like this, why not be certain by going to http://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/default.html

and if you have any specific questions, there's a toll free no. that you can call.
