Is it possible to be a few months pregnant and still get periods and negative hpts? I doubt it but i got pregnant in december and i was bleeding only a couple weeks in and the doctor said i could be miscarrying but i never went back to get my hcg levels rechecked, well ive taken tests since then and havent gotten a positive and ive gotten all my periods but i feel pregnant and ive gained like 15 pounds which is odd because ive weighed the same for years and my stomach is bigger. So was just wondering is it possible to be about 3 months pregnant and get negative pregnancy tests?

If you are pregnant then you'll never have periods during the time of being pregnant.

Why is it that you will never experience menstruation during pregnancy?

Well, menstruation is actually the process of throwing away those blood and tissues created by your uterus as preparation for the fertilization of your egg. The fertilized egg will be attached to the tissues on your uterus. If fertilization never happens, the tissues and blood will be dump away in the form of menstruation. But if the fertilized egg will be attached to that tissues, the tissues will remain there aiding the fetus on its development until it will be born.

If you really take the pregnancy test and it's positive, so the bleeding is not menstruation and it's probably the symptoms of miscarriage.

So, while you're suspecting that you're pregnant, don't stop seeing the doctor and the health center for regular checkup.

Think of the safety of your baby and yourself....

u should go to the doc. and get that check out just to be sure. if u did in fact have a miscarriage u have to make sure the baby is out of u because if it is u might have an infection. i saw this on lady who had a miscarriage and kept her baby inside of her for fifty years. it was on the discovery channel. it was nasty to see something like that. this lady never went back to the doc. but when she got older in age she started having real bad pains in her stomach which almost killed her. so it is best to be safe than sorry

Yes, it is possible. But you really need to consult your doctor, tell him what's going on, just to make sure you and your baby are fine.

My sister had her period every month during her first pregnancy. And I thought, "Oh rats, that's the fun of being pregnant."

But her doctor said was normal for her as she was producing to much and need to "slough off" some of it.

Best of luck to you and your new baby.
