How did Indiana get into the March Madness tournament?

I mean like what team did they beat for them to get in and stuff like that.

Power conferences generally get 5-6 teams in. It's based on the strength of their schedule (the RPI). The rpi for big conferences (Big East, Big 12, ACC, PAC 10, BIG 10) tend to be high so they get the benefit of the doubt. Illinois (my boys) is a good example. They got in over Air Force because of their conference.

They had a winning record in the Big 10.
