My stepfather is a registered child sex offender that is registered to one address, but actually resides with my mother and their kids at another address. I have tried to get somebody to do something about it, but CPS, the police, his probation officer, and the DA's office won't do anything to get my brothers and sisters out of harms way. They have all said that it's out of their hands. Any ideas on what can be done?

His conviction was against my child, my mother knows the truth, because he admitted it to her. I no longer have any contact to the kids. I have sent emails to every big name media person. When I filed the charges it was in the news, because they were state licensed foster parents. The children that are living in that home were adopted and have been through the foster care system. They are scared to death to tell the truth.

If you really contacted these people and they told you there was nothing they can do they lied to you. If they wont do anything you need to go to their bosses. They might not be able to remove your brother and sister from the home but he is violation his probation and the law by not being at his registered address.
Do the people in his neighborhood know that he is a registered sex offender.? If not talk to them about because I'm sure they would help you.

Is he on parole or probation, one of the conditions of being a registered sex offender, is that the individual is never allowed to be in the company of children.
sorry, I just read your subsequent sentences, now are you sure that you have called his probation officer, what state are you living in, you might want to pursue it at the state level, good luck to you, and those kids are at risk, I sincerely hope
that nothing happens, also the fact that he is registered at one address and actually reside at another should be a violation of his probation

Contact the children's schools and make the administrators aware of the situation. They will be more able to monitor the children for changes in behavior and signs of abuse.
The probation officer must be made aware of the change of address. Whether or not it is a violation of his parole will be a matter left to the courts.
Talk to the sentencing judge's bailiff. If anybody can help you, the bailiff will be the best source of guidance.

If the police and CPS and others say that they can't do anything, than I guess the option that I see fit, is to educate your siblings about the signs of sexual aggression and that they should avoid unnecessary contact especially in the absence of other adults. This should be sufficient, an other manner would include telling the kids about the past history as they have a protection right from such predators

Sounds like you have done all you can. Try talking to a school counselor, they are also obligated to report these things, it might help. Is the address that he is at in a different legal jurisdiction ? Maybe you need to call the police there. Although the police you talked to should have done that. Good Luck for you and your brothers and sisters.

It is not out of their hands.
If he needs to register he must have a probation officer. Please report him to his probation officer and they will do something, such as violate his probation or threaten him with jail if he does not leave the house. Sex offenders have very few rights in this country, there are many things that can violate their probation, such as moving, using drugs or alcohol, using a computer or being near people under 18.
You can report him to CPS and the cops directly too. If you keep reporting it someone will eventually listen to you, especially if you get a child advocate lawyer to talk to them.
Don't back down.

Talk to your immediate family.
Ask them why they are not concerned about this inherent risk.
But try to be as level headed as possible but be persist ant even if they brush off your questions.
Is your stepfather really this compulsive pedophile?
Or was the arrest a misunderstanding?
Because your mother is an adult, and unless you are willing and able to take care of your brothers and sisters, my only suggestion is to be civil to everyone, watch and observe.
A leopard never changes it's spots and sooner or later, they will reveal their true self.
That's when you can do something.
Please talk, communicate and interact with your siblings more.
See if they display any behavior changes. I pray that they will not be abused in any way by him.
Good luck.

You could consider going to the media, and telling your local news station about this. I'm watching a similar expose report on the news right now. Of course, you'll have to decide if you want to publicly expose your step father like that. I would. But it's your choice to make.
