Yes there are some people who are lazy.On the other hand its okay to give reference points for projects without actually doing the project. My daughter is good at Maths but I am not.A fairer solution is to ask for help otherwise she might struggle with a question that she does not understand.I know parents that have gone back and done maths studies to relearn the maths to help their son. We have a network of support and there may be limited support at home forsome kids.As yet I only used it once. Some kids may struggle particularly with maths.Sometimes the teachers dont always give the kids enough time or explain some processes thoroughly.

Far too many. If they can find their way on here to ask the question, then they can use the internet or look in their books to find their own answers. Just too lazy to even look it up. Or put it in another category to look like it isn't homework. One I saw today was "how many trees can you plant 20ft apart on 1 acre of land."

Sometimes, they ask for answers to questions they could answer themselves if they were not so lazy.

In general though, I don't see a problem with this as long as, as answerers, we try to explain the material, rather than just deliver the answers.

Then it's not really any different that having a tutor in my mind. A vast, random, tutor of dubious reputation...but that's their own risk. :)

either that or they're lazy and just want someone else to do their homework for them. I see some reeeeeeally basic questions being asked. like, what's with all the "answer this multiple choice question..." stuff being asked?

Half agree.Cos for my case.in do assessment look it up in the books in the net but sometimes words too big for me to understand.and teachers may not as free as we think. we look them up they always on something.if go for tution that's cost a bomb.parents can't afford that.ask parents, cos they low educate can't understand too.So no choice have to come here to ask expert like you all.Agree is to those already have tution ,someone to look to for help but still want to have answer here in order to speed up their homework time then that's would be preety bad for them cos i think in the end they still learn nothing.wasting time on other thing.

Yes, too many kids seem to want us to do their homework and write their papers. I don't mind giving a helpful hint, but if someone wants me to write their paper, they'd better pay me for it.
