How about a law requiring all nursing homes in the city to have power generators in case of a blackout or downed power lines? Don't forget to put limits on the minimum requirements for the generators' size and power reserve.

This past winter, I know of one nursing home that was without power for 3 days and had no power generators. The residents were moved to the cafeteria and kept there to conserve heat (provided by candles) until the utilites were restored. I do not believe any of the residents suffered illness or death due to lack of electricity, but I was certainly not benneficial to them either.

Try taking a hard look at the Veterans Administration. There are political fund raisers on the grounds of many Veterans sites that interfere with the well being of many veterans.

Another hot topic these days is the Social Security fund that is supposed to dry up within 40-50 years. It will dry up if the Department of Defense keeps tapping into the fund. Keep all of the money in the fund to be distributed to only those qualified and the fund could go on for another 500 years.

Investigate the V.A. and you'll be doing a lot of returning members of the Armed Forces a great favor and service....as well as the recipients of Social Security.

Good luck.

Nursing home neglect happens when overpaid people running the business end of things hires incompetent workers without checking backgrounds and drug testing.

Keeping Guns out of schools, forming a network to keep children safe from each other.

Support a bill that makes school uniforms mandatory so that poor and rich kids all look alike. Even the sluts will look decent. I was a poor kid who got teased in school because my parents couldn't afford designer clothes.
