A lot of things changed from the previous world cup to this one.
1.The Captain changed.....yes,Ganguly was a much better and a more aggressive captain than Rahul Dravid.

2.The team had a different coach and John Wright was probably the (w)right choice.

3.There was belief in the team that they could do it.

4.The fixture format was good too, and after all India just lost to the World Champions so.....they had an edge over all the rest.

The current Indian team is different from Team India in 2003. Also, they didnt perform extremely well... and hence they r out of the world cup.. Sourav could have been the captain n then things would have turned out to be better!!

In the last World Cup too, India struggled in the initial stages, but got to play more matches.

Then the money the players earned was not so much. Now they earn far more by way of endorsements, share from the Board, that they hardly bother. They shed crocodile tears not over the defeats, but the amount they stand to lose by lost ads etc.

TheBoard has widened the net by paying pensions to ex cricketers so that they keep their mouths shut when things go wrong. In a poor country like ours we have no concern over the starving. What a shame!

They r so capable to go any height in the cricket, Most of the players in the last world cup were in form, as soon as they went to finals the pressure has built-up to heights and they lost.

During this world cup, most of the player were out of form, selecters assumed that they will play well, return of that they couldn't even face Bangladesi bowlers, which caused the indian cricket team to go deep in trouble and they lost their confidence even after they won such a big victory againest Barmuda.

lucky point for Bangla players was to play their first match againest India (reputed team but low in confidence) to gain more confidence to go forward to super eight. If the first match was againest Srilanka it would hve been a disaster and they would hve been out of farm.

Politics and lack of confidence make them fail to reach to Super 8. For me Dravid is not an ideal Captain from the very first day of his captaincy.

becoz that time Mr. KAPIL DEV was the captain of the INDIAN team as well as that team was perfect. And now this team is not well maintained. That team was without COUCH & this team is having a COUCH.Inspite of having a good couch they could not even defeat a team...Now INDIAN CRICKET TEAM has broken the hearts of the CRICKET fans. The fact is that the cricketers are having their minds in AVERTISEMENTS & all etc...........
