Are you kidding? I am the only one here. Is there a union for self employed, single handed jobs. Ok, forget the single handed thing.

The answer is NO!

Yes, thank God...!
They make sure I get at least my minimum amount of pay for what I do, and they keep track of money owed to me for the re-use of what I have done - it's kinda like going to the mailbox and finding a winning lotto ticket. Sometimes it's only a few dollars, sometimes a couple hundred!
Waaaaaay cooooool!
:-)
(And totally worth the union dues I have to pay!)

it was...without strong unions we'd be like every other nation where the divide between the worker and the owner is even wider than here....but look at us minimum wage stuck for over 9 years..while executive salaries grow by leaps and bounds...look at average workers earnings compared to CEO's..now and 25 years ago...smaller workforce producing increased workload/productivity....reduction in health benefits...pensions..wages.. every way the rich stick it to the worker..and look at executive stock options and buyouts..they can guide a company to bankruptcy and still get millions in golden parachutes....
