Every protest against the war in Iraq I have witnessed talks of "Peace not War" I challenge you to prove to me that we as Americans do not live in "Peace" So many of us are against this war yet we live in peace every day because of past wars just like this. You sit there and preach of peace yet you are so blinded by media and propaganda you don't see whats right in front of you, given to you by the lives of those who have died before us fighting to keep peace in America. Your protest do not speak of peace to me, but of terrorism against America, you have shown that in Portland when your "anti-war" protesters burned the symbol that I have fought for and would give my life for. Do not tell me of peace, tell me you could go out there and die for your beliefs then I will listen.

The absence of war where? does war have to be on our back yard before anyone will realize we live in peace?

Peace is living in harmony and I don't believe the world will ever have perfect peace. I agree with you about all the anti-war protestors. The media does indeed tell us only what they want us to believe.

The simple answer would be the absence of war. I would define a time of peace as a time where there is no direct hostility toward your nation. Currently our nation is not in a state of peace and withdrawal from Iraq will not put us in a state of peace. We are at war with Muslim extremists that want to destroy us and our way of life. There are really only three ways to achieve peace in a time of war, destroy all your enemies, negotiate a mutual compromise, or surrender to your enemies. In the case of Islamic extremists, there is no possibility of negotiation, which leaves us with destroying all of them (very costly and time consuming) or surrendering to them. Neither of these options is very attractive in my opinion, but I would rather destroy them than surrender to them.

we humans are just another species of animal - war is part of us. At best we can try to learn piece and learn to accept outside views to co-exist. When an enemy is indoctrinate to just kill - one can only defend by killing. As simple as that we are animals. Perhaps religion is not the correct answer maybe we need to learn, be taught, to live while tolerating each other

I haven't had to shoot anyone today. No one's shot at me. I guess I'm living in peace. Thank you to all of America's armed forces, past and present.

WANDERLUST
I've been around the world a thousand times
Seen the same faces and places and traces
I never forget, regret, reject, expect
Quenching my thirst
Complacence is curse
I climb from mountain to mountain
Bird on a wing
Like the wind
The song that I sing
Never satisfied to to stand in line
Wasting my mind
It's my time to shine
I just can't get away from yesterday
But I keep on living the wanderer's way
And over and over I start anew
But I can't escape the thoughts of you
I tried to play your game a thousand times
And I let it infect and defect and affect
My clarity, my charity, my destiny
Sold out who I was
And what I could be
I drift from moment to moment
Looking for serenity
A place to stand
A home for me
In a world that's fueling insanity
I just can't get away from yesterday
But I keep on living the wanderer's way
And over and over I start anew
But I can't escape the thoughts of you
I just can't get away from yesterday
But I keep on living the wanderer's way
And over and over I start anew
But I can't escape the thoughts of you
Never satisfied to stand in line
Wasting my mind
It's my time to shine
