Oil

An inferior grade of oil, I believe. Shale oil needs more processing than liquid, or something like that. Anyway, we
are running out of the stuff, and we're going to have to find something else to burn.

Oil.

Shale oil, as it is commonly called, can be extracted, using high pressures and temperatures. However, current technology preculdes using shale oil to replace crude oil because it costs more energy to extract it that you would get out of the shale oil itself.
