You see I am only 18 years old. I still have a like another 60 years of life left. There is no way I can live under a era where US is not the super power. I mean the whole world revolves around our culture. There is no way in 30 years, I will have to learn to speak to Chinese. I want to live in a era where we are still in power.

GO USA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No change,
I can't change I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mold, I am here in my mold
But I'm a million different people from one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no

I am afraid that Nixon opened the door to China to do just that. They have learned the value of trade. They will buy the U.S. there will be no need to fire a missile. The U.S. will have to learn to not only trade in the world but how to make our products available to places like China. Think about it, its a huge developing market. We still hold essential industry's that could wax them if we were competitive.

It's been several years now that they've been suggesting our kids learn chinese (even in first grade) and the schools have been implementing that. So you need to learn how to communicate with them or at least know what they're saying about you. China has already surpassed the USA so you're a little late on that. Socialism leads to communism so don't let socialism take hold here. When you begin to vote please know your candidates well and where they stand and what they voted on in the past, then vote with your brain and not your emotions. Know too that the muslims, atheists and progressives and not illegals, are trying to change America and are doing a nice job of it so learn what they're doing and vote good laws in.

I know what you mean.I am a proud Conservative teen you see.I have the same feelings about China possibly being more powerful than us or any other country for that matter.

But I think we live in more of a global economy now so if they get wealthier we also get wealthier.Which we all know with money comes power. But this also means if their economy collapses ours might collapse along with it.

On the other hand maybe if more Americans see that they are gaining on us they will start to get off their butts and become more competitive and the government will give companies more incentive to stay here and not outsource for cheaper labor.

I always think no matter how much people think the government is corrupt or whatever I will always put more trust in our own government to preserve our freedoms.

P.S.I also don't want to end up like alot of bitter European
people who lived in past super powers, then had to give that title to the U.S.Dont they seem jealous of us?

Don't worry my friend. Everything changes over time. There are pros and cons to most things in life. I look forward to the day that the US isn't trying to prove to the world how tough they are.

China's booming economy can be a positive thing and a benefit to all. The more middle class consumers in the world, the better the quality of life for everyone.

Democrats seem to understand this simple concept. Conservatives prefer the trickle down method. It just never seems to trickle far enough. Conservatives do have their good points as well mind you. There are pros and cons to all things man tries to create. Air Force Rules....

That kind of attitude- insisting that the US can be the only super power, that the world should continue to revolve around our culture forever, and the horror expressed at the idea of having to become bilingual- is exactly why the rest of the world hates us. Thanks so much.

dude you really need to do some research on the "New World Order". Its not china we need to be afraid of, but we should be afraid of world government. Keep in mind Bush announced on national TV that "the American people are ready for a New World Order". you sound like someone who cares like America. think about it... world government?

We can stop them now if we go to Darfur.

PetroChina is currently drilling in Darfur. There is oil there that why there is fighting to drive the natives out so China can drill even more.
