My daughter is 14 and has school pictures tomorrow. She has never worn makeup and I don't wear it either so I need help on how to cover up a huge sore on her chin. It is very noticeable and she is very upset about it. She is not normally self concious about her looks but this time she is. I bought some cover girl makeup tonight( conceler, foundation, powder) but when I did a trial run with the makeup we could still see it. Since I really don't know about makeup I'm not sure I applied enough but I don't want to make her end up looking like a clown. Does anyone have any ideas?

Since it is Spring pictures there are no retakes and these are the only pictures I buy each year because they always look the best.

To clarify it is MY DAUGHTER who doesn't want to wear makeup. I don't wear makeup by my own choice but I have encouraged her on many occasions to wear it and I have offered to take her to a professional to learn her colors and how to apply it correctly she just doesn't want to. She is very athletic and pretty much a tomboy. I have talked her into makeup for these pictures but she insists this is the only time.

Put neosporan on it first and rub it in and blot access. If it has a scab it will still be noticable. But then put concealer dab it on then put foundation on. Do not use powder it will make it appear cakey. And be gentle with it. She may want to wash the makeup off after the pictures. It may help if she puts on neosporan tonight too.

Did you match the makeup to her skin? And when you DO put the make up on her, make sure that you apply it to her whole face, blending it into her neck. Covergirl is a pretty good brand, and if the colour is right, then it should cover pretty well. Try a little heavier application with the concealer, experiment a little.

Is it for school pictures? (If it's not, then just have the photographer gently place her hand in front of her chin, so that she looks like she's resting her chin on her hand...very glamourous...) Now, if this doesn't work and the blemish is really noticiable, is there any way that you can do a retake?

I'm into modeling and have four kids...so I know A LOT about this stuff! Trust me! Lol!

By some of those tiny, circular band-aids and put that over it. Then but the concealer over the band aid, but make sure you apply the concealer all over her face so it blends in. You don't need all three on their. Then get her some light blush to put on so it looks natural and not real pale.

Hope I Helped : )

Ha, why do spring pictures always turn out the best?

Anyway, this is what you do:
Put concealer on her sore. Dab as much as you want, then with your finger pat it on until it blends. DON'T rub. Then take the powder and just kinda smooth over it. She can do this on her whole face, too, to balance it out.
Just don't put concealer on her whole face, and don't put too much or it will be noticeable.
Although, you might want to put some extra on the sore spot.

Cover it up with make-up.
If you don't have any, borrow or buy it quickly.

It will look like she covered it up, yes.
But on the photo you won't see it so much and it will look a lot better!

Don't make a point of your 'no makeup' stance. Your daughter will thank you for making this exception.

Maybe you should try the brand L'oreal Paris. I find it very good also Maybelene is good too. Go to your chemist and ask for them to match a foundation to your daughters' skin colour. They should be able to give you advice also. I hope I helped you and I hope that this works.

Photographers can do great things with photos these days.Unfortunately there is not much you can do apart from telling her that she still looks beautiful even though she has a sore on her chin.

Ask that photographer to get an angle that won't showcase the sore too much... OR you could just go to Wal-Mart and get pictures done there.

the make up can help conceal it, but not make it go away completely. maybe she could do a pose with her hands or fists to her chin. they make cute pictures and would cover it also,
