i own a repair shop and the computer has a lot of control over this ,and also the gear ratio is geared to only run a certain amount of speed, everyone thinks that by adding a lot of things they can get more speed out of any car,you have to have the gear ratio also or it will have a set limit on what it can do,good luck hope this helps.

My 90 Dodge Colt goes 130mph. You are feeling the grip of big brother. What you need is an older car. Yours probably not only limits your speed at 95, it probably also shoots of a message to Ford to tell them how fast you are going.

You are activating the electronic limiter. The factory adds that to prevent over reving of your engine. You can get chips to eliminate the cut off.
