Assume that you OS is windows xp, click on start, programs, help&support, undo changes to your computer with System Restore, and then choose a point where your computer will restore from. 1 day ago, 1 week ago, etc.

Click the start button, and All Programs will show Accessories- In that list is a heading called System Tools(its way down toward the buttom) It has disk cleaner, disk defrag and system restore listed. System restore explains how you use it.

I think more information is needed. But there is a system restore function if youre using windows. If in task manager got o new task, if not click start then run - then find the directory c:/windows/system32/restore/rs..... That will take you to the system restore prompt where you can restore your system back to an earlier date (most probaly yesterday)
