Because where else can you live and have the opportunity to be what you want, do pretty much what you want, say what you want, etc. Other countries don't have that.

On vacation a few years ago in Minnesota, we met some German campers and they were so thrilled that they could camp in a forest preserve. They said they couldn't do such a thing in Germany and I found that the people made me feel grateful for what we have here. I wouldn't want to be any other place than here in the USA!

Jealous? I believe violated and angry would be the right choice of words. Countries around the world are not against the American people ( I know I'm not! ). Majority of Americans just like other people of the world are kind and generous.

Different countries of the world are against the American Government's reputation of meddling with other people's affairs. They go to a country and eventually change their way of life because it's different from the "American Way". The American Government forgets that other countries have their own culture. Their own identity. Who gave the American Government the right to change/violate that because it doesn't adhere to their standards?

If the U.S. Government wants to help other nations...then help. But if the country says "Thank you! We can Handle it from here on." Then it's time to leave. Let them have their identity back. Their sovereignty. That should be the American Way. The U.S. Government can't be the "Big Brother" of the entire world. It's too much responsibility for a nation to handle...too much power to be given to one as well. That's why we have the U.N. ... which the U.S. Government obviously ignored when it invaded Iraq on it's own. That's exactly the reason why different nations are frustrated at the moment. Such arrogance tends to give such a beautiful country and it's beautiful people a bad name.

And you my friend quoting "is is because we have the power to nuke your a sses?" exactly proves my point of your government's arrogance.

~The fool always asks why so many countries are jealous of the USA. The wise person asks why so many countries hate us. That is why only a fool could have been surprised by 9/11.

Probably because of Bush. He starts everything and never finishes it like the war in Iraq which is killing a lot of people every day. It is not that other countries are jealous of the United States of America. They just hate us.

No,it's because for the most part we have food, clothing, shelter, freedom, and good sex. If we really had the power to nuke, then Iraq and Iran and most of the Muslim world would already be a radioactive wasteland.
