a) There are 30 days in June, so 0.4(30) = 12 days that are cloudy. 0.24(30) = 7.2 days are both cloudy and rainy. I guess the 24 was just an approximation, but we'll go along with it. So 7.2 of the 12 cloudy days are rainy. So the probability that a cloudy day will be rainy too is 7.2/12 = 0.6

b) Surely, the problem isn't because they can't spell "series", is it?
