I don't think that GTA sucks. Why would you hate a free roaming game that has plenty of side missions, and a great storyline and more to keep you busy for hours on end ?I think that the GTA games are some of the only games that are worth the price when they first come out because they offer some of the most hours of gameplay. If you think that GTA games suck, you must have not played San Andreas because you can do way more in that game than in GTA 3 and Vice City.

Though I wouldn't say that GTA "sucks" per se (they really did expand the sandbox genre), I would definitely say that I've had more fun with Scarface and The Godfather (esp. on the Wii).
Personally, I find that I'm traveling from one end of the map to the other for no good reason in GTA, but that in, for instance, The Godfather, there's usually something fun to do on the way. Let alone the advanced customization of your character through the Mobface system.
Now compare GTA to Scarface: TWIY. Selectable music, the ability to call a car anytime you want, to have additional weapons and ammunition in the trunk of that car, to play specialized missions for your extra character, plus various other enhancements--I found myself more fully ENJOYING both The Godfather and Scarface more than GTA, where I felt like I was simply slogging from one end of the map repetitively. The only real downside to Godfather and Scarface is the limited map and lack of a jump function, but even that becomes such a small complaint as to be negligible.

I love the first gta with the overhead views, but the new gta games are also very good. They have expanded where you can go and what you can do within the game itself. I have played all of the gta games and i love them all.

Just to add, Saints Row is a HORRIBLE video game. Just a GTA knockoff with a "gangsta" twist.

nope he's not the only one, i personally don't get the attraction of those games..i think they suck...thats my opinion
