I'm trying to get Carlos Zambrano for Jermaine Dye... but John Lackey for Jermaine Dye is already on the table for me to accept. I am really strong in all my offensive catagories, and I could always use another stud pitcher. Any advice from some experts out there?

Jermaine Dye was one of the best fantasy players last season- see if you can get a bit more than Lackey.
Zambrano would be good, just push the fact that Dye was a legitmate MVP candidate last year.

Not to repeat what Mojo said (because he made excellent points), but what you have here is two players going in opposite directions. True Jermaine Dye had an excellent year last year that would put him near the top of any Fantasy OF, but he is getting older has a tendency to get injured frequently and most projections have his numbers falling off the table. On the other hand John Lackey could be a stud pitcher on the level of Carlos Zambrano, he has a low ERA, tons of K's and will get you wins. I would do this if I were you, especially since you are strong in your offense.

Jermaine Dye is not going to repeat those numbers, so be confident in trading for Lackey. He has average over 200 innings and 190 K for the past two season (along with a mid 3.00 ERA) and being with high expectation for the Angels, this 28-year old "ace" can become a Cy Young candidate this season over an aging OF that's not going to repeat a 40-HR season.

I say the trade will be a fair one. Lackey is one of the more underrated pitchers in the league and Dye will most likely not match his totals from last year. Plus he gets has a history of getting hurt.
If you need more pitching I say go for it.

Why could you opt for to get 2 so-so OFers once you may attempt to commerce for a above universal OF with potential? Lackey is pitching large at present so i imagine you shoudl manage to get extra .......
