here is the formula:

to convert to degrees Celsius:
*C=(*F-32) divided by 1.8
*C=(*F-32)/1.8

for example, 65.0 *F==>*C
*C=(65.0*F - 32)/1.8
*C=33 / 1.8
*C=18.3

(Fahrenheit - 32) X 5 / 9 = Celsius (earlier called centigrade)

212F - 32 = 180 X 5 / 9 = 100 C (the boiling point of water).

32 - 32 X 5 / 9 = 0 C (melting point of ice)

This is the way to work it out:

1) Substract 32 from Fahrenheit degrees.

2) Multiply by 5

3) Divide by 9

The result is degrees Celsius. I have given you two examples above.

Farenheit to Celcius: F = 32 + (9/5 x C)
C = (F-32) x 5/9

Take the temperature in Fahrnheit and subtract 32 from that number. Then take that number and multiply it by 5/9.

(Temp-32)(5/9)=Celsius
