I like rock music all types of rock... I like the old and new.
I am wanting to hear something i haven't heard b4...

There are very good Latin rock groups
for heavy metal try Los Angeles del Infierno, they're from Spain and my favorite song is al otro lado del silencio.
La Union, Los Heroes del Silencio.
From Argentina, Rata Blanca or Soda Stereo
From Chile - La Ley, they're best album is invisible and the MTV Unplugged
from Mexico Jumbo, Caifanes, newer ones like Moderatto, Panda, Nikki Clan, Allison, even if you don't speak spanish you'll like these, or old time favorites:

I hope you'll try the spanish rock, there are a lot of good groups from the 90's latin rock movement.

Lorene Drive, Monty Are I, 30 Seconds to Mars, Aiden, The Used, Chiodos, The Audition, Emanuel, My American Heart,The Almost, Head Automatica, Men Women and Children, YoungLove...the list goes on.

I have some suggestions.

First, it is Mando Diao. Great catchy rock'n'roll. Good songs: «TV&Me» and «Welcome Home, Luc Robitaille»

For something a little more "off the track", try The Horrors. It is a trendy british band with a cool sound. Good songs: «Death at the chapel» and «Counts in five».

Another british band that I like is The Kooks. Good songs: «Ohh La» and «She moves in her own way».

If you want to impress your friend, you can listen to Malajube, a great french band from Montreal with a good buzz around them in the indie scene in the States. They have a fresh sound. Check them out. Good songs: «Montreal -40» and «Pâte Filo».
