Tamora Pierce has 4 or 5 different series that are all very good. But my fav of hers in the Protector of the Small Quartet.

If you like historical fiction you would probably like any of Tracy Chevalier's books. She wrote Girl with a Pearl Earring.

All Michael Crichton is good. You like good and not cheesy love stories anything by Nicholas Sparks is fantastic. But I would recommend The Guardian, which is also a thiller.

I just started a thiller series by Stephen Hunter. It's about the sniper Bob Lee Swagger...yes, from the movie Shooter. (which was very good...love Mark Wahlberg). But that movie is based on a book called Point of Impact that is the first in a series about Bob Lee. I bought it on friday and got only a hundred pages left and there's 600 pages in the book. It's very good.

Marion Zimmer Bradley is probably my fav fantasy author. She has written tons of books. But I would recommend the Avalon series. Which includes Mists of Avalon which most ppl have heard of. But that one is actually last in the series. All the ohter take place before that. But they don't really need to be read in order...but it would make more since. I finished just a while ago the first one, which tells about the sinking of Atlantis. I didn't know it was part of the series til I saw it. So they don't have to be read in order.

If you like Star Wars I recommend the books. They are very good...and gives you so much more story than you get in the movies. My favs are the Clone Wars novels and Revenge of the Sith. Dark Lord was good too. And you get a great look at Mace Windu in Shatterpoint...which is my fav so far.

The Wheel of Time is good if you want to dedicate a long time to the series.

A newer series, in which the last book will come out this year....Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray.

It all depends on what you like. I personally love to read and do so whenever possible. Laurell K Hamilton has two series that are awesome: Anita Blake Vampire Huntress, and Meridith Gentry Fairy Princess. There is also Christine Feehan with her Dark Series, Ghostwalkers, Drake Sisters and her Leopard Series. Finally you have Nora Roberts she also has a couple of books such as The Circle Trilogy, or the Three Sisters Trilogy.

Okay, you didn't say what kind of books you like, and I read everything. Here are some series that I have read or am reading now, starting with the first book. I've tried to give you a broad range.

The Quilter's Apprentice by Chiaverini (sp) (people stories)
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb (my favorite - police mysteries)
Annie's People Series by Beverly Lewis (amish story)
Confessions of a Shopoholic by Sophie Kinsella (it's a hoot)
Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (hopefully, you've read this)
1st to Die by James Patterson (there's 5 so far - all good)
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (historical with time travel)

Other authors I like are Dean Koontz, James Saul, Stephen King, Jude Devereoux, Linda Lael Miller, & Mary Higgins Clark.

Harry Potter - J K Rowley
Series of Unfortunate Events - seen the movie would love to read the books.

Well I love fantasy and adventure novels.

Howl's Moving Castle is also an interesting book and the author, Diana Wynne Jones, has written other series.

This is all personal opinion of course, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Unlike his previous novels, the Dark Tower series is told as an epic journey and is encapsulated in 7 books, starting with *The Gunslinger* and ending with *The Dark Tower*. This series is unlike some of his other novels in that it isn't a horror/thriller type of book/series.

You can go to Amazon.com and search:
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - Book 2 is coming out soon, Book 3 is in editing and will be out soon too.
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way. There's a lot of sex in it.
and "Super Spaghetti."

They're all available for free right now through Kindle Unlimited, which you can get with a free trial - Google how to get it. Then you can read it online or with a free Kindle phone app if you don't have a Kindle.
