I'm not pregnant now, I was throwing up 30 to 50 times a day with my last pregnancy, in the hospital for most of it, didn't end until 4 hrs after I gave birth - I was just curious about the term...

ha ha because lucky people dont have it all day. I do thought, and it sucks. blah. Ive had it all along so far!

I have no idea. It's one of those unsolved mysteries. I call it mourning sickness, as in mourning the loss of the days when you could leave your house without a bag to get sick in :) It ends after the first few months for most people, so just look forward to your second trimester (unless you are one of the unlucky few that has if longer... knock on wood). the phrase morning sickness just pissed me off while i was pregnant, i had all day and night sickness the first four months of mine, but after that it went away, so if you have all day and night, just bear with it, im sorry, i know how bad it can suck, try eating peppermints, that is the only thing that helped me...

It's called this because most women report it as being worse in the morning, probably because they have not eaten for 8 hours, which makes it worse.

I wonder the same thing.. Because in most cases it hits later in the day or even at night.. I guess it was just misnamed, and nobody ever thought to change it.. I dont know...

Its just what they call it, some ppl get more sick when their stomach is empty though...and that happends more in the morning! but yes its just the name for it, which does happen in the morning, afternoon or night!...never go by it! (just the morning) thats not always the case..lol
