Okay, my laptop fried. Sad, I know, anyways i bought a IDE 2.5 HD External case thing. To recover all the info that was on it. I connected it to my desktop. All is fine, i'm able to view everything on the HD, until i go into Documents and Settings/my user acc. It tells me that " F:\Documents and Settings\Me is not accessible. Access is denied." Why is this happening? Is there a way to fix the disk? Is there another place that the contents could be found? Plz help URGENT! :)

Try switching the drive, put your laptop drive as primary and your main drive on the secondary cable and see if you can boot from the laptop drive, this is a long shot, but you never know.....Did you have your account password protected?

Email me with any questions....I also have yahoo messenger on.....

You cannot access this file because it was inextricably tied to your login on your pc and you made it to be private so when accessed from another pc like you are doing now it won't allow you to do this.
There is a way to possible recover your files but it would be very difficult and time consuming. Try a google search something on the lines of hacking private user files or something similar.
