I'd go on the pill, it was a godsend for me because it helped so much with my periods. I havent had any side effects. The only thing is that I have to remember to take them everyday at the same time, so I have an alarm on my cellphone to remind me.
But the best thing would be to talk to your doctor about, they can recommend the best thing for you, and will probably know of more options than us.

If you have the right GYN doctor, they will be more than happy to go over all the choices you have, if you ask.
There's tons of choices and once you've sat and gotten the pro's and con's of all of them, can you make the choice that works best for you, and that of your husbands.
IUD's work great if you don't want children right away, but are painful to insert and take out. They're good for 5-10 years.
Pills are great if you plan to have children in a year or two, and then you have the patch that works just as well.

LMAO, I know people can be stiffy thats because they dont get laid enough.. From my experience in birthcontrol.. Used the depo-shot for a year and a half used the every 3month shot and its the best for me because it was easy to remember, good to hide it from my mom (at the time), and every shot i get my period was LESSER AND LESSER.. The downside I was gaining weight! it makes you eat ALOT and thats about it.. And one of my friends was taking the shot on her butt and it made her butt big! it doesn't hurt when you get the shot but it does feel tender after you get it. The Leonstrin24(spell check) Nothing wrong about the pills is just my freakin memory!!!! And its this NEW birthcontrol thats out that they put 6 little matchstix in your arm and it lasts for like 5 years. And its done surgically and im sorry i don't know the name all i know it starts with an "R" your doctor should know about it.

Personally I don't care for pills or other chemicals. Thats me! Apparently there is a patch that works well for some. Myself - I prefer condoms, but then I don't need them for birth control, they are (for me) for protection. They do serve both purposes though .. and contrary to what I use to think - they aren't "all" bad! lol .. There are some good quality condoms that also have dots and ribs (and they aren't too thick for him !!) . Those dots and ribs are a bonus! So .. better than abstinence even if you aren't married!

I use the birth control pill. Alesse has a minimal dosage of hormones so it won't make you gain weight nor other side effects, it's just enough for what it needs to do. But they will probably recommend a method.

Well depends on other health factors, like if you smoke or not and your age.

I used to take the pill and it worked out well for me.
I heard some people prefer the injections, cause you get them only twice a year.

There are lots of options, and I would see what the doctor recommends. Since when do people tell our doctor's what medicine we want to be on? That's unusual.

I get the Depo shot. It's a shot you get every 3 months. Pretty simple...no pills to forget.

ask your doctor for his/her opinion. you will need a form that fits into your lifestyle and need. what works for one woman doesn't work for another. i preferred the diaphragm, but it limits spontaneity and one must be VERY comfortable with touching her body. the positive is that it is very effective and doesn't add any extra hormones into my body and decreases side effects.
