its a really nice dress....and the color is perfect for june and i think it should be definately white if its for a christening. its totally appropriate...
and i also think that wedge shoes would be the perfect match. as you see on the link u provided us, they have that kind of shoes there next to the dress.
my advice is that u should really take it easy with the accessories...because the dress has a belt etc...and you dont wanna make it look "heavy".
go with something silver, or white gold...maybe a ring and/or a bracelet....very descrete jewellery though...
good luck!

I think it is a great dress, perfectly acceptable for a baptizing in a church. If when you try it on you feel too much cleavage is showing (it's hard to wager how it will fit on you, depending on measurement differences), you could wear a cute colored cami or just a simple white one. Also with this dress you can easily accessories with any color or piece of jewelry you wanted. Oh and a small dainty drop earring, not a dangling one though. And wedge heels would look great with it. Giving you the option to match your shoes to your dress or to your jewelry. Since the dress has a collar on it I would go for a low updo. A beautiful chignon would look classy, yet not overly done up. All in all I think it will look fine for a summer event of any kind! Good luck, I hope this helps you out some, and congratulations on the baptizing.

Have you tried TJ Maxx or some store like that? I have found unbelievable things at TJ Maxx. Try also The Limited and Express, I have seen some shirtdresses there. Of course, I do not know what you look like, but if it is for a baptism, check with the church to see if the neckline is not "too revealing" or the dress too short, but I think you should be fine.
If you do decide to wear the dress from Frederick's (it is pretty), I do suggest to wear a similar wedge as the one in the picture. You can also accessorize it with a double or multiple strand clear necklace and very small earrings (studs probably). When I say clear necklace, I mean that looks like small rock pieces but clear/transparent or the ones that look like ice cubes (not necessarily the shape but the look of it). If the beads/rocks on the necklace are too big, then go for a one-strand necklace. I would not add another color as an accessory, I would keep it clear (or white). The wedge shoe like the one in the catalog would look great. If your hair is shoulder length I would probably wear it down and maybe find a way to put some soft wave in it (not curly) instead of having it straight for a change. It will be summer by then and your hair should flow, just like your dress.
I think that with your skin tone you will look great in white. Of course, ask the parents of the child, they may prefer their child to be the only one in white.
I think you can probably pull off a necklace with this type of neckline because you are slender and as long as you keep it simple. In addition, even though this dress has a collar, it also has a deep neckline so you can wear something around your neck. I would not suggest you wear bangles because your nephew might want to play with them, also, you will need to carry him and a bangle could dig into your skin and start to bother you. That is also something to keep in mind if you do decide for a necklace, he might want to pull at it. If you do not wear a necklace or bangles then I would go for small dangling earrings (nothing low because it will clash with your collar).
About color: I think with your olive skin tone, all white and wood/earthy tones would complement nicely. I would not add another color such as red or black (even though it can look good). If you want color, maybe a small red coral necklace with coral red stud earrings and wedge shoes. I would also have a small white bag. Remember that it will be summer, you should dress according to the season. Also, like someone else said, you do not want to distract from the event and it is your nephew's day. I would play it simple and "summery".
Hope that helps.

Wow, I didn't know Fredericks sold cute clothes! Nice find. You might want to try looking at Gap, they have lots of cute dresses now for under 60 dollars.
I would wear that dress you have picked out with white sandals, if you can find them... if you want to be fancier, you could wear it with flats or pumps. Wedges would work, but maybe not for church. And any gold jewelry would look pretty. White clothes look so nice with olive skin... good luck, and have fun!

That's a great dress!!

I would definitely do the wedges,or anything with a peep toe. Try something like:

and accesorize in brown.I wouldn't wear a neckalace because of the neckline of the dress.Maybe a nice wooden bangle, and some dangly earrings.

It would look great when you have the ribbon wrapped around your legs. This would go in a darker shade of accessories.I'd go with brown again.

That would add a splash of color!Accesorize the rest in either black or red.MAybe even a belt around the dress? That would look great with the neckline, and the sleeves.

This gold peep toes wedge would give you a very glamorous look.Accesorize the rest with gold!

Have fun!

I see nothing wrong with this dress. Your going to a baptizing, not a party so you should be fine. I love the canvas-wedges with the ankle tie ups. Here's a link for the shoes.

That is a very nice dress and easy to accesorize. It would be so beautiful with nothing fancy, maybe a short heel or something. If you look the model wearing it is totally natural. And with your skin type and hair i would tie your hair up with small clip or something and other then that id leave it all.

That dress is pretty but for church it needs a camisole underneath. White close toe shoes will be suitable (Keira Slingbacks by bebe).

Try not to outshine the little bundle of joy.

thats cute. but its in a church so u cant really show that much cleavage. wear a cute colorful cami inside and i think wedges would be cute. also add some not-too-flashy bangles or bracelets. maybe even a strand of pearls.... :)
