Independent Research Project?
This is a year long project where 12 grade students research a topic and work on it throughout the school?
I am interested in doing something on medicine, health or even history....????? I also need t0o make a tangible product out of it..........for example, a person is researching on different types of photography...therefore, they reaseacrhed on it, take pictures and then make a scrp book. Another one is like researching on different elements or types of poetry and then writing their own poem for each type....????????/ plzzzzzzzzzz helpppppppppppppp ;(((

OK, if your interest is medicine, that's great. Hopefully your group will agree with this theme. To make a product of it in medicine can be a bit trick, but never say never. Look around you family, school and community and see what are the needs of people in these contexts. I mean, is there a need for a product, then you done it! But medicine become a bit tricky, I don't think that selling one more type of vitamin is the go. But selling the idea behind a new vaccine is fantastic. Brainstorm with your group and see what all come up with. Ask around your environment about peoples needs. Do not forget, there must be a need in order for your product to be viable.

I believe the most interesting medical topic to research and combines history would be ancient medicine. This can include surgery, herbs and even Acupuncture.

Just researching Traditional Chinese Medicine would be very interesting. Modern technology has revealed there are valid reasons why some of the traditional remedies were affective.

It's also amazing how ancient surgical instruments are similar to instruments used in today's Operating Theaters.

The Romans and Egyptians even practiced Plastic Surgery.
