dont get iverson or wade or melo or shaq or kobe or james. everybody has those, everywhere you go you see someone wearing it, it is too common. you should get a jersey that not many people have or wear.
the warriors city jerseys are the best jerseys every made, you should get a monta ellis one. this kid will be an allstar guaranteed.
i like the philly jerseys so you can go with iguodala
or you can go chris bosh, the raptors jerseys arent bad.
one that i love and i personally own is a authentic dwight howard jersey when the magic had all those stars on it and it shines in the sunlight. its not the one they have now but the one before when tmac was still in orlando.

Brandon Roy of the Portland Blazers. This player is amazing and will undoubtedly be the R.O.Y in the NBA. I don't know how well you are with NBA stats, or if you even care, but trust me when I tell you, you won't regret it if you get the Roy jersey.

Pick your favorite player on your favorite team. Mine would be number 41 on the Dallas Mavericks. However, if you want the number of someone not currently playing you could go with Jordon or Magic or Bird or even Wilt. Or you could go with a great former player of your favorite team.
