Suit makers buy their merchandise from retailors. Would a wholesailors drink a schooner of beer with me and say down the hatch? If I wanted to order a hat from them would they need to know my capsize? Perhaps I could buy something from them during their mainsail, or would they just send me aweigh and give me astern look?
