Gravity. The earth and all the other planets, moons, and stars are round because the were formed by gravity. Everything that has mass has gravity. And so particles stick together. Since gravity works in all directions the objects formed by gravity are all spherical.

Because if the world was square, we would fall off the edge into outer space. With a round world, there is no edge. Therefore, scientificly and theoreticlly speaking, you just cant fall off.

gravity acts in all directions, thus if something formed because of gravity, it will end up being a sphere
