I am thinking of relocating there soon and just wanted some inside information from people who are already there. I currently reside in Minnesota, but my boyfriend had a back surgery and the cold weather really does a number on him. We're looking into heading down to warmer weather, and we are very impressed with Las Vegas so far.

I lived in Vegas for 6 months and it was the worst experience ever. It was too hot for one, dry heat or not it's a constant sweat and a bloody nose, it was completely culturally devoid, as it is meant to be this fantasy land for visitors. It really attracts on the whole, people who into a certain lifestyle, gambling, sex, night life, and sleaze. It isn't pretty to look at, there are are few trees and green, and it is totally FLAT. It is a PIT. Everyone is impressed when they go there the first time because its unique, fun, and surreal, but to wake up there every day is also surreal. A long strip of nothig but suburban strip malls, condos, and broken dreams....

The best, the warm weather.

The worst, parts of Las Vegas are a bit ghetto with prostitutes, etc.
