Emo is short for Emotional, Rockers usually use it to describe other rock bands that sing emotional songs, a good example of Emo's are My Chemical Romance just listen to their songs and you'll see, but yeah EMO it's Emotional, feelings.

I'm emo/goth sure there's a change and I'm a mixture of each... My dad calls me emish, I'm looking forward to that to seize on haha... Emos are satisfactory the variety rocks at the side of the style in track and surely emo is created by means of tough lives or pasts nonetheless, this doesn't suggest we're continuously unhappy and depressed we do smile!!

The term emo comes from emotional. Emo is often used to describe a person or a band. If the band is "emo" then they usually sing songs about their girlfriends leaving them and wanting to die. "Emo" people are often associated with people that cut themselves.

It stands for EMOTIONAL. It is a general term like "goth" or "preppie" to classify people before getting to know them.

People who are classified as EMO generally wear REALLY to small shirts (even the guys, like size xs), tight pants, grease their hair, and don't ever seem to be very happy but more mellow or depressed.
They tend to listen to "emotional" music such as sunny day real estate, dashboard confessional, Atreyu, and Fall Out Boy.

The Emo, Dromaius novaehollandiae, is the largest bird native to Australia and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius. It is also the second-largest bird in the world by height, after its ratite relative, the ostrich. The soft-feathered, brown, flightless birds reach up to 2 m (6 ft 7 inches) in height. The Emo is common over most of mainland Australia, although it avoids heavily populated areas, dense forest and arid areas. Emos can travel great distances at a fast, economical trot and, if necessary, can sprint at 50 km/h (31 mph) for some distance at a time.[1] They are opportunistically nomadic and may travel long distances to find food; they feed on a variety of plants and insects.

In a nut shell, "emo" can describe a genre of music, or a stereotype of an "emo" child.

But I adore the definition below me.
