Not really I'm sure he's being well compensated for him time and trouble. I'm a floral designer and I work 96 hours one year from Feb 7-14 and was very well compensated the florist I went to paid for all of my meals, and paid for my childrens baby sitter. And I still cleared over $2000 after taxes but that because I've been doing it since I was 17. So I acted as a managed for this company and I went in and ran things my way. But that goes withthe job that he chose. But this is not abuse, abuse is when you don't get time in a half or double time.

I suppose that depends. when I lived in nyc, plenty of people I knew worked either that long or longer, so they could stay competitive. just because it's 5 pm, money doesn't stop getting shifted around.

if he knew what his hours were going to be at the time of hiring, I'd say that's his problem. he agreed to it by taking the job. he could always quit and find another company who will make him work fewer hours.

I say he's fortunate to have a job. I used to work 70 hour weeks and it was no fun. But it was my choice. When I didn't want to do it anymore I resigned and found a different job with less hours required. You want money, you have to work for it. It all depends on what's most important to you.

He was lead to believe that it was up to him to succeed or not and the # of hours is an indication of being successfull.

Horse-puckie.

Money does not always make a man a success. Time does not always equal money. But, most of all, effort does not always equal reward.
