Hi there. You are perfectly normal! .. the only difference between us is bust size and age! .. i was not developed in the boobs til i was much older .. like in my 40's! seriously - however i also believe that my undeveloped breasts were a result of smoking, because as soon as i stopped they grew! all true. Anyway - my period also started when i was 9, and i'm 49 now and quite healthy. The only health issues i've had or have are a result of very poor choices in my teens regarding drugs and alcohol. I am very lucky to be alive! Just felt i'd mention that, since you and i seem to share other things in common, i thought i'd tell you. And i should also tell you that it also means you are quite fertile. Please try to "keep yourself" for that truelly special man. It's a crazy world .. the best you can do is be true to you. All the best and good for you for asking - there are likely lots of others out there who are just like you. Oh and mine is "now" a b 36!! lol

No you are totally normal. Some girls just develope faster then others. By the time i was 13 i was in a C cup. Now I'm 27 and I turned out ok, so don't worry. You have no disease. So stop worrying. You are a normal 12 yr old girl. Hope this helps you sleep easier tonight.

You started a little on the early side, but it's not unheard of. Puberty kicks in at different ages for different people. You probably stand out (no pun intended) among your classmates and feel a little self conscious, understandable.

If you are worried, ask your mom to take you to your doctor, and don't be afraid to ask questions! If you have a regular doctor that you've seen for a long time, you might just be able to call the office and ask questions.

If you can't manage that, You can also ask the school nurse, or whoever teaches health or sex ed in your school.

Oh please do not think that you have a disease! My sister was a size 38C by the time she was 12, no joke. Everyone is different. You should talk to your Dr. and maybe to your mom or an aunt someone who has been there before. They can tell you what their bodies were like at 12.

by any chance do u eat alot of meat? because the hormones in meat (mostly chicken) can cause u to go through puberty early... my cousin got her first period when she was 9 or 10 and shes fine. ur probably fine, dont worry

Liza-it sounds like you're fine. But, I agree with the person above me-if you're worried, go get a checkup and get reassurance from a doctor.

ok that is normal for you to start your period so early because that tells that you mature early and much faster than most girls. so dont worry about bra size its life you are just made to have big boobs. so i dont think you need a check up.

sounds like you are going though puberty. this is when your breasts gets bigger. hair starts to grow on your armpit and groin. In other words, your hormones are kicking in. Don't be embarrassed, that is part of growing up. All of us do undergo this awkward stage but soon we will outgrow it.

There's probably nothing wrong with you at all. You're what is referred to as an "early bloomer". Go and have your regular annual check-up with your doctor if you're still concerned.
