I am travelling to Bali in July with an elderly person. She has recommended that we stay at the Sanur Beach Hotel. However, she is concerned that the rooms we stay in will have a shower over the bath, which won't be suitable as there is a too bigger step for her to get up over the side of the bath. Does anyone know whether the standard guest rooms have a separate shower and bath or just an all-in-one with shower over the top?

Sanur Beach Hotel has shower that is not over the bathtub. What you need to do is to request that room when you make the booking. It is a deluxe room type.

i would think that most of the hotels in Bali have a shower over the bath, but you could always call in advance and make sure that you get a bathroom with a separate shower and bath.
