The MR-1 is a good mech marker. The thing with Spyders is that they are all the same internally. There are minor differences; some have a regulator and some don't, some have top cocking and others have different cocking methods, some have power feed and others have top feed, some have the ACS bolt and others have regular bolts, etc.

Internally all mech Spyders are exactly the same. I can put the internals from one into the body of any other Spyder and they work perfectly.

So yes, the MR-1 is a good mech Spyder, but then again, so is any other mech Spyder out there.

Acually, yes, in compition with tippmans A-5, spyder released this gun to out perform the A-5. After using both IMHO Yes its a great mech-marker, however what qualitys to you concider to be "good" in a marker? Trigger pull and accuacy out of the box are great, and the duriblity have had no problems... My advice, these guns are everywhere, next time your out, ask someone if you can shoot a few, get a feel for it.
