Take all your proof and go home, it's better to ask forgiveness than permission

The problem is the laws differ from state to state.

Don't worry about letting him see your child, if he really cared he would be doing something, like a job, the classes etc.

i'm not sure where you live, but in the states you can file a motion(on your own) for temporary custody of the children using the uninvolvement as your grounds. then until everything is done you have custody of the children. establish a routine for the kids-school, daycare etc. then when you go to court it will look better for you. let your ex have access to the children that also looks better in court than trying to keep him away. unless he is a danger to them, then file a motion(again you can do this yourself), for supervised visitation. this will keep most of your court costs down, but for the big stuff you will want a lawyer, try looking in the phone book for lawyers that help people who can't pay or are low on funds. you can also contact your local human services office and they might be able to help you find one. good luck to you. if you just need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to email me. i know it's scary to be on your own again w/ children. ♥♥

Move back home and take your kids with you as soon as you find out whether you are going to get sole custody. It's not fair to you or you kids to be somewhere that you have no one to support you. As long as you can prove you are a fit mother you can keep the kids with you!

sounds like a slam dunk to me. as long as you put sole physical custody in the paperwork and he doesn't respond in the alotted time frame you get whatever you asked for. I understand how difficult a time it is right now because I'm going through something similar, only I'm have to fight for custody because he doesn't want a court order saying he has to pay child support.

Go home and take your kids with you. Then you need to go to your department of social services and they will help you throught the child support enforcement. You are in a position of needing this help and I think you should have it. You deserve better and so do your kids.
