Myself and my family... Well We're not weird or unusual and We're kinda like other people in the world. We have our traditions and thoughts. According to us Islam is a complete and the best way of life. Islam shows the right way to be a good person and to be useful for life like other religions. So I'm Muslim and I know a lot of Muslims all over the world! What is question though?

I know some quite well. I worked in Indonesia for an extended period of time where everyone was Muslim and I was the only westerner. It was a vastly different culture, but I was surprised how much alike we really are: They were some of the coolest people I've ever met. Some are still close friends. Respect is the key. I made a considerable effort to learn and speak the language prior to going, and I had also read several books about events there.
We live in a very compicated world with some real dangers, I'm not naive about that.
At the same time particularly the United States, our schools and news media don't tell us very much about the outside world. As a result, many Americans are naive. How can you make informed decisions when you don't have all the facts?

I dont undersztand why is it that when people speak about terrorism they always think about islamic terrorist, terrorism does not have skin color or religion it is something that all nations have, in every country there are individuals that can be named a terrorist. Islam is a peaceful religion and a country that i live in (Bosnia and Herzegovina) has living three ethnic groups for over 1000 years...i will tell you just one thing when Spaine was free from arabic empire in the middle age they egziled jews from spain, not one country then would acceppt the jew community but the Bosnia which was in the ottoman empire in that time which also was mainly Muslim country acceppted them and gave them shelter- i just want to say that this is the real muslim he cares and in that time the time of incvisition muslims hade the understanding for people that are not the same religion as them... in Quran is written that all religions should be respected..it does not matter that we dont believ in the excatly the same things but at the end we are all people and all people are the same in front of God. sure there are some people that interpret islam in the wrong way but as i know there are also christians that do same thing but they are not classified as terorist but as criminals and i believe thats the problem of the islamic world the dont have a good PR manager :) I am a muslim and i am proud to be one..and one of my best friends is a catholic....

I know plenty. They're just like anyone else. Well, different tradtions and all but there are great values in the muslim world. They haven't caved in to the social decay the west has seen. Watch out for the bombers though.

Yes, i know a Muslim family. For the time I have know them (3 yrs) they have appeared to be a law abiding, hardworking, family. They appear to practice their religious beliefs as sincerely as I practice mine. They do not belive in jehad as it is presnted today in Iraq. They believe that killing of civilians is not in the experience of the Koran as they interpret it. As far as what they seem to believe, terrorism is not demanded in the Koran.I have found them to be very good nabors.
So I guess its like knowing anyone. What we see from people everywhere is nothing more than what they appear to be.

Several...for years.
Of course, I live in New Jersey where all the states around here have a high population of all ethnic groups and we have learned to respect each other and get along.
People who live out in Podunk live in a very small world surrounded by people just like them. They fear differences..... A shame really....

I know quite a few, most are dangerously ignorant of the truths around them and have fallen prey to racists jargon that has no foundation in the facts or truths.

I do, and must say they are all very lovely people. They have fantastic families and children. You can not hold an entire religion accountable for the silly things that I minority have done, and are continuing to do.
