i'm starting to try new things in my life and one of these things is music. i only really listen to fall out boy.. but i was wondering if there was any other bands out there like them? and if u could give me some old schooo bands that kinda sound like them. thanks :)

If you like FOB, you should listen to Panic! At The Disco and Cobra Starship. Both albums have been produced by Pete Wentz of FOB.
And if you like THOSE bands, then you should try Forgive Durden, My Chemical Romance, The Audition, Lorene Drive, Head Automatica, Glassjaw, Sugarcult, Taking Back Suday, Dropping Daylight, The Academy Is...
Now, the only old school band listed is Glassjaw, but...you'll really like most of the other bands if you like Fall Out Boy.

The thing is fall out boy has a very ...unique sound.
IMO, they're abit like rolling stones meets, a less bawlsy billy talent, good music none the less

If you like FOB you will LOVE A Hero from A Thousand Paces and Amberlin- both AMAZING bands- great songwriting and better than average musicianship

I love the "old school" music of The Cult, Depeche Mode, and New Order. The Meat Puppets were great, too!
