i am installing an alarm and i need to know where the white tach wire is on the distributor on the galant is... some pics would be helpful of just very detailed answers thanks in advanced...

What you could do is to go to Auto Zone and see if they have a Haynes Repair manual with no plastic wrapper and sneak a peak. Also the library should have the wiring diagram.


Also go to ebay and google your car year and model and add manual. Example, 1998 Ford Escort Manual . Get the service or repair manual, NOT the owners manual. If you are lucky you can get the cd repair manual. Just watch it with supplements for your car. Those are just the additions to add to the ORIGINAL repair manual. Make sure you look at the pictures and which manual they are selling. They are not usually specific. I have seen owners manual listed as repair manual. You look for what you want if you want to order or not. Have fun. But if they have a repair cd, that is the best bet.

There is no distributor. There are two coil packs on the straight-4.

No distributor needed, coil pack only

I thought this was weird too when my broke down one time

It does not have a distributor, only coil.

its a DLi (distributorless ignition) .. u may find the tach wired a the ECU's
