Apply heat, heat guns work the best they can be purchased many places and if you know a painter ask to borrow there heat gun it will work all the same. I have heard of using an iron and a paper bag but never tried it personally.

I have had this happen a lot. The best and easiest way I have found is to use your blow dryer to reheat the wax. Once it becomes liquid again you will just have to wipe it away (as long as you have high gloss or semi gloss paint) a hand towel works well but be prepared for it to leave a stain.

If you have flat paint, do the same thing - but put wax paper or a paper bag on top of it first and then blow dry it through it. You can also use this method on gloss paint.

Hope this helps!

Get a brown paper bag and an iron, set the iron at about 75% max. Put the bag on top of the wax, put the hot iron to the bag, The heat will melt the wax and the bag will sponge it up. Move bag and repeat until done.

This works on cleaning off candle wax, Scrape off wax with a butter knife or very gently use a razor blade then use equal parts warm water and White Vinegar sponge on or wipe with a soaked cloth until tthe residue is lifted off and stain is gone. Good Luck !

Take some ice hold on the wax until the wax freezes then should come off very easily.

Oh boy. I'll be checking this one later to see what the real answer is. But, when it happened to us, we used a credit card to scrape the excess off. It made it less noticeable. You can try washing it with a mild detergent to get the oils out, but the red dye may have to be painted over.

Have you tried hot water? But make sure you have a towel under it though.
