I was wondering which Hotel site is better: Hotels.com or HotelClub, which ones more reliable because I am going to reserve a hotel there.

Thanks!

Personally, I have always gone with HotelClub.com as this has been my tried and tested site. I've been a member of their Membership Program (You can still book even if you are not a member though) and being the frequent booker that I am, I always earn lots of member dollars and save more. Their website is also very easy to use, lots of info and I can be sure that my credit card details are in good hands.

This would be good for comparing. Hotels.com is under Expedia while HotelClub.com is under Orbitz. Both sites are big, legitimate and reliable travel websites. In the end, it's really up to you as to which site would offer the better rate, given the same inclusions.

Most of the major online hotel reservation sites use the same "engine" for booking, they just all look a little different. Some display hotel information and rates in one way, some display the same information in a completely different manner.

Bottom line, though, is that you're not really going to have any trouble with your reservation -- however, it never hurts to confirm your reservation directly with the hotel (just wait a day or two for the information to get processed).

Plenty of sites have been around for a long time:
http://www.hotels.com/
http://www.expedia.com/
http://www.travelocity.com/

And some new up-and-comers:
http://www.resideo.com/

Resideo is pretty cool...if you know some info about a particular hotel, you can contribute to the overview text that's displayed for each hotel.

Anywho...there's no "better" site, it's all personal preference, and whether or not you feel comfortable using a particular site!

It depends where you are travelling to as to which one is the better site. The US sites are probably better for travel inside the US, although Orbitz now falls inside the same group and they seem to share hotel deals.

The one i like the best is Cheaperthanhotels.com as it combines the same hotels but also adds last minute specials which have free inclusions, therefore giving a point of additional benefit and difference over the others.

Frequent buyer programmes are helpful for some people, but most folks just want the best deal and that means not being locked into a program.

hotels.com also try expedia.com, travelocity.com, and hotwire.com. hotwire often has great deals, but you cannot know the hotel for sure. only the class, ammenities, and neighborhood.
