I love horsback riding. I haven't been for quite some time. But I loved it! In fact, I helped to "break" a horse to ride. I don't like that term, but it's what is used. A horse can be a good friend and listener. And there is nothing like the feeling of being on your horse's back, feeling the wind in your hair, and feeling free. If you've never been, you should try. Just take it easy the first time. Your legs will hurt!!

Yeah, I was about three or four, fell off the horse and landed smack into a steaming pile of horse dung. I didn't think much of the experience and have hated horseback riding for the past forty years because of it.

I went horseback riding in Guatamala. It was amazing due to the terrain and the fact there was a volcano within eyesight. Awesome!

Ah, a fine story.

I wasn't comfortable with the idea, so I asked for a very old and tired horse, one that wouldn't run if he was set on fire.

So I climbed aboard and we plodded around a little bit, and suddenly he took off as if....well, as if he'd been set on fire. My theory is a bee sting, but who knows.

Well, he's doing a full tilt run toward the intersection of a fenceline and a tree at this point, and I decided it was time to practice my PLF (if you know what that is, 'hoo ah', but don't tell anyone else) from the back of a horse, and to paraphrase "Little Big Man", "that was the end of my cowboy days".

I went horseback riding with some friends. I was sore after riding( because I don't ride), but I really enjoyed it. We all had a lot of fun that day. Thanks for asking, you made my day.

Yes. I grew up with horses until about 15, then we moved and had to sell them. We had 2 Shetland ponies, a stallion(Bay), a Tennessee Walker/Arabian with papers (mine) and her colt. We used to have fun trying the trick riding like you may have seen done at rodeos, and when we played Cowboys and Indians we actually would fall off our horses (while in motion) and even trained the horses to go down with us (No harm was done to the horse, I assure you). We also liked to jump hay bales. But none of that comes close to just running at full speed with the wind whipping through your hair. I miss having horses. I hope to again some day. How awesome it was. Thanx for letting me relive my memories.

Yes, I used to all the time when I was a kid. My dad trained horses on the side. I miss it. I love horses. I felt so free when I used to ride.

Love it. I used to ride every day for years, and owned my own horses. There's nothing like a beautiful ride to forget all your troubles and woes.
