So Im a large guy, like a good 170 pounds. Im 18 and 6'1. I'm just wondering for all you other plus sized people. Do you find it akward going shopping with your friends for clothing? I can't say I'm very happy with my weight and I'm actually really trying hard to loose it. But I'm supposed to go shopping tomorrow with a few friends and I'm reallly hopping it isn't going to turn out to be super akward looking at clothing thats xl and xxl...

Are you serious? 170lb is not large! My brothers are not as tall as you and they weigh around 180 - 190 and are not at all fat!
I, on the other hand, am definitely overweight and yes I find shopping very awkward so I don't do it with friends. I only wish I were your weight - then I would go out there and enjoy it!
Anyway, that said, don't worry about tomorrow, your friends will not be thinking about what size clothes you're looking at. It's just meant to be a fun day out - so don't be self-conscious, just have fun!

U may feel awkward but u don't sound to be over weight or over sized....I like guys who can fit into a XL or XXL...it is pretty normal so I am guessing your friends are little guys...don't feel uncomfortable...enjoy being young and have fun with your friends...you only live once!

size is a big problem. i am REALLY short. i cant find any pants that fit because i am so short. but it is something i have become used-to and so should you. plus i am kinda skinny and i have to wear large sized shirts so i wouldnt worry bout that plus if they are trully your friends they wont care

i agree wit u, im like 200 pounds and 14. i hate shopin wit family or friends. i feel so ashemd when im @skool or out in public. im am trying so hard to loose weight but it hard.

for that height your weight is proportional. you dont sound large or overweight. my husband is 5'10/5'11 and usually weighs between 175-180 and thats normal for him. nobody would ever think he was a big guy, just average.
